Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi… I’m Joplin, wild heart, raspy spirit, and zero apologies
(Yes, like Janis — and if you love her, I’m already your girl.)
There’s just something about me. A vibe. A soul. A little rasp, a little magic. People say I remind them of an old-school singer who felt everything deeply — and honestly? I’ll take that as a compliment.
My Story (told by me, obviously)
I followed a couple home one day while they were walking their dogs. I just knew I needed people. No one in the neighborhood claimed me, and it was pretty clear I’d been through a lot. I was covered in mites, missing most of my fur, and needed way more medical care than they could give — so they called Freedom Frenchie Rescue, and that’s when my glow-up really started.
I’ve worked hard to heal, inside and out. And let me tell you… I’ve come a LONG way.
My Heart & Personality
I am a total sweetheart.
Dogs? Love them.
People? Love them more.
Strangers? I’ll go right up and say hi.
I do have a little fear of being left — I like knowing my people are nearby. Confidence and reassurance are huge for me, and when I have that? I absolutely thrive. I love watching the other dogs, playing with them, and supervising everyone like the tiny potato manager I’ve become.
My foster dad says I float around the yard, snorting, supervising, and doing my very un-graceful walk — and honestly, he just giggles the whole time. Same, sir. Same. He really has nothing bad to say about me, lets be real if he did he would be reporting it to Mo.
My Medical Notes (the honest part)
I’ve recovered really well, but I’m still missing some patches of fur. Most of it has grown back — it just took a long time, and it may continue filling in at my new home.
I also had surgery to remove my cherry eyes… and yep, they came back. One is always out, the other pops in and out. We’re not doing another surgery — because this is who I am. And if someone doesn’t want me because of that? They’re missing out on a whole lotta love. Around here, personality > looks, always.
The Important Stuff
• I love snacks.
• I love treats.
• I love food.
• Did I mention snacks?
• The cuddles they are a must, you better fall asleep before me if snoring keeps you awake!
I’m potty trained, rarely have accidents, and I know how to use the doggie door like a pro.
I’m likely mixed with English Bulldog, I’m on the smaller side, and I’ve officially turned into a round little potato — perfect for cuddling, obviously.
My Final Pitch
If anyone is going to put a New Years spell on you… it’s me.
I’m the 2026 miracle you didn’t know you needed at midnight.
My unique look fits my loving, soulful, irresistible personality perfectly. I give off an energy that people feel — and once you feel it, you’re done for. I promise.
So if you’re looking for love, laughter, snorts, supervision, cuddles, and a little rock-and-roll soul…
Love Joplin and a glass of Jack.
And I’m ready to come home and you can have a piece of my heart. I am vaccinated, spay and microchipped, currently I am being fostered in Scottsdale, AZ. My adoption donation fee is $1050.00. You can apply for me at freedomfrenchierescue.org.
