This helps Wag On Inn Rescue with pet care costs.
Sissy is with a partner rescue in LA and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter.
Sissy is a tender, soft-souled girl who just needs a little time and space to feel safe. When she arrives somewhere new, she likes to tuck herself into her kennel to decompress and take it all in. She's never reactive, just shy, and she'll happily accept gentle pets and belly rubs even while she's figuring things out.
Give her about 24 hours and wow does her personality bloom. Her missing leg doesn't slow her down one bit. She becomes affectionate, cuddly, and so eager to be near her people. She's gentle, kind and absolutely lovable.
Sissy is potty trained, leash trained, crate trained, quiet except for her wagging tail thumps, great with other dogs. Cat compatibility unknown.
Because she's so timid at first, someone with experience helping shy dogs feel secure would be ideal. A calm home that understands the value of a safe space will help her flourish. She may do well with kids, we'd recommend older kids or a trial to make sure she feels comfortable.
Sissy is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $450.
Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wag-on-inn.com. To apply, click HERE or on our website, go to Adoptable Pets and Adoption Application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon!
