Named after the iconic Furby toy, this sweet pup is lively, affectionate, and eager to find a family who will love and cherish him as he deserves!
Furby came to Shelter Hope after his previous owners, who had surrendered several litters before, had yet another unwanted litter. All five puppies had been living outside, sharing the yard with pigs and covered in dirt. Shelter Hope took them in and immediately brought them into the safety of a loving foster home.
This 3-month-old, 6 lb dachshund mix is full of energy and curiosity! Furby loves exploring, chasing toys, and zooming around with boundless enthusiasm. He’s great with kids, gets along well with dogs and cats, and always brings a playful spark wherever he goes. When he’s not busy being a little whirlwind, he’s happy to snuggle up for some cozy cuddle time.
Furby is vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home!

Furby had a chip on his shoulder when he first came to us & when you would try to pet or even pick him up, he would give you a little “chomp.” We eventually wore down his chip & he has become a total love bug who plays from sun up, to sun down with a few naps in between.

STEP 3: ADOPTION APPOINTMENT
The appointment is a meet-and-greet at our shop at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks. If you choose to adopt, the process is completed with an adoption fee and a signed contract.
Adoptions include:
- 10% off training at Zoom Room Thousand Oaks
- A free day at doggy daycare at Barks N' Rec
- A free grooming at Indiana Bones
- A free check-up with Slaton Veterinary Hospital
- A free 30 minute visit from Valley Pet Sitting
- A free collar, tag, harness & leash
As well as all the vaccines they've had thus far, the microchip, and the spay/neuter.
And most importantly, the lasting reward of saving a life and welcoming a new member into your family!
