Spunky and fun young boy with a personality and zest for livin the high life, hi there, Im Billy! I found my way to the shelter as a stray and now I am anything but lost! I know who I am here, I know who loves me and I know I belong with your family! I do prefer a family with kids over the age of 5 years old. My spunk and energy level might seem overwhelming to a toddler, but rest assured, I am as sweet and playful as they come!

I attended school when I went to the Pets for Parolees program. I learned commands such as sit, down and go to my bed or kennel on command. Hey, I even know shake.

Other dogs and I get along swimmingly. I loved playing in the kiddie pool we had here at the shelter, and I love running around in circles thinking.... this place is awesome!!

I do get kinda sad each day. Nobody is meeting me or asking about me at the shelter. I try so hard to look my best, keep my smile on, and I always put my best paw forward. But nobody notices. Ugh. I want so much to be loved by someone. I dream of being someones once in a lifetime love. I know I could make you happy. I know I can be the best friend that youve been dreaming of, too.

If youre looking for a short, squatty little man with happiness, joy and excitement in his eyes to show you and your family what having a joy for life really looks like, then come ask for me - Billy. Just one look at me and you wont walk away without me.

Love, Billy

We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19.
If you have any questions about our adoptable pets, please call (913) 831-7722 or email adoptions@greatplainsspca.org. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member!
Adoption Requirements:
- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.
- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.
- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
