My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on October 28.2025..

Why this pet is the one for you:
Shiloh is so looking forward to his new home. He is ready for a good dog's good life. He wants to be assured that there will be plenty of healthy food, lots of treats for rewards and some soft beds for napping. Shiloh is a classic strong bodied brown and black dog who is ready to love and protect. He would prefer to be the center of attention with his new family so he can be the star. Loyalty is a big deal for Shiloh. He will be very loyal to his person and he hopes they will be very loyal to him. If so, Shiloh will be there for them through through good and bad times. Shiloh hopes he will be included in his person's day to day activities because Shiloh always wants to know what is going on with his person. Are you ready for a loyal and loving companion? If so, Shiloh is ready.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
