My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tallulah (formerly known as Zula at the NYCACC). This three-year-old angel was a staff and volunteer favorite at the shelter. Sweet Tallulah was sadly abandoned after being bred, and it’s clear that her first few years weren’t easy. Yet through it all, she’s met every new moment with love, gentleness, and resilience.

Talulah—better known as Tally—is a big, soft, silver marshmallow of a dog who wants nothing more than to cuddle, nap, and be close to her people. She was found as a stray and is very likely a former breeding mama, though no puppies were found with her. Despite what she’s been through, she is incredibly affectionate, wiggly, treat-motivated, and eager to bond.

Tally is the definition of a professional cuddler. She would happily spend the entire day curled up beside you, soaking in pets and dozing off in that adorable, heavy “big dog nap” way. She’s calm, cozy, and so easy to fall in love with.

On walks, Tally is a complete dream — loose leash, constant check-ins, and that soft little trot that makes everyone smile. She loves exploring the neighborhood and then heading straight home for a well-earned snooze. Not to mention she looks absolutely stunning strutting in her pittie pj's.

Tally is naturally excited when she’s happy, greeting her people with full-body wiggles and a huge smile. She’s incredibly treat-motivated, making her fun and easy to train, and she gets along wonderfully with other dogs.

Check back soon for updates as she settles in and discovers what it means to be truly loved.
