Freddy LOVES food — seriously, he’s highly motivated by yummy treats, and they’re the quickest way to earn his trust and spark those sweet tail wags.
Once his personality peeks through, Freddy is so much fun. He makes the cutest hound dog coos, especially when he’s excited or hoping for another bite of something delicious.

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
