Meet Paco – A Gentle Giant Who Just Wants to Be Understood
Paco is a big, handsome boy weighing in at 16 pounds, with an equally big heart. His world was turned upside down when his owner had to move and couldn’t take him along. Understandably, Paco is a bit shy and reserved at first—but give him time, and you’ll discover a deeply affectionate companion.
He’s often misunderstood because of his initial hesitation, but once he feels safe, Paco adores chin rubs and butt scratches. He may not ask for attention right away, but when he does, it’s with the sweetest head nudges and quiet purrs.
Paco thrives in a calm, peaceful home and would do best as the only pet, where he can be the center of your attention (and your lap!). He’s ready to find a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly seen for the gentle soul he is.
If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, Paco might be your perfect match.

Adoptions by Appointment
We've got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt! The adoption process begins online, and all adoptions are done by appointment only. In most cases, animals are eligible to go home right away, so be prepared for your new animal to leave with you.
- Potential adopters complete an online adoption questionnaire at https://www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet .
- If approved, adopters can then interact with the animal they wish to adopt. It is best for all members of the household to meet the animal prior to going home. Note: Shelter staff reserve the right to deny any adoption if we feel it is not in the best interest of the animal.
- Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.
- Adopters must be 18 years or older, and have valid drivers license or photo identification.
- Pet licenses are required for dogs and cats in the City of Everett and unincorporated Snohomish County.
- The adoption fee must be paid at the time of adoption. We accept Visa, Mastercard or cash. We are unable to accept checks for payment of fees or services.
