Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟 Meet Chugs — A Loyal Little Chug With a Big Heart 🌟

Age: 8 years
Breed: Pug/Beagle Mix
Size: Small
Status: Neutered, on seizure medication (well controlled), will be fully vaccinated prior to adoption

Chugs came to us through an incredibly loving surrender. His dad has been facing serious health challenges of his own and grew deeply worried about who would care for Chugs if he no longer could. Out of pure love and responsibility, he made the painful decision to surrender him so Chugs could continue to receive the care, stability, and support he deserves. We promised him that Chugs’ future would be bright — and now we’re looking for the family who will make that promise real.

💛 Personality

Chugs is an affectionate, gentle little guy who bonds closely with his person. He leans in for pets, loves to be near you, and thrives on connection and routine. He’s the kind of dog who follows his heart — and his heart always follows you.

He’s:
✔ Friendly with familiar people
✔ Potty trained
✔ Crate trained (though he prefers not to spend long periods confined)
✔ Good with small dogs, a little unsure with larger dogs
✔ Not reactive around food or toys
✔ Gentle and affectionate

🧠 Emotional Needs

Chugs does experience some separation anxiety — barking, vocalizing, and becoming stressed when left alone for too long. It’s not misbehavior; it’s worry. He just loves hard and needs reassurance that he isn’t being left behind. A home where someone is around often or can help him build confidence will be ideal.

🐾 Health & Care

Chugs takes daily seizure medication, which has been successfully keeping everything under control. He’s neutered and will be fully updated on vaccinations and preventatives prior to adoption, so he’ll go home ready for a fresh start.

🏡 His Perfect Match

Chugs would thrive with someone who enjoys companionship, a quieter home, and a dog who wants to be part of your daily life. He’s a loyal shadow dog who loves deeply and quietly.

His original owner would be grateful to receive occasional updates on how Chugs is doing — and we’d love to find a home willing to share those — but this is not a requirement for adoption. It’s simply a kindness that would mean the world to someone who loved him enough to let him go.

📩 Ready to Love Chugs as Much as He’ll Love You?

This little Chug is ready to start the next chapter of his life — safe, loved, and understood. If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a giant heart, Chugs might be your perfect match.
