My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Iron Maiden, and I’m a sleek 9-month-old black cat with a heart as strong as my name suggests. I recently took on the big job of caring for seven tiny babies, and I did it with patience, love, and a lot of dedication. Now that my babies are grown, I’m ready to focus on myself and find a forever home where I can relax, play, and be spoiled a little.

I’m affectionate, gentle, and love spending time with people who give me attention and affection. I enjoy cozy spots, soft pets, and watching the world go by from a sunny windowsill. I’m also curious and playful, so I still have plenty of energy for toys and fun, even as I enjoy my calmer moments.

I’m looking for a patient, loving family who will appreciate my sweet, confident personality and give me the care I deserve. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate, and beautiful black cat to share your life with, I’d be thrilled to meet you! Adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
