My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Nicole.

I’m about 1 year old and a petite little lady. I only weigh 6.5 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you. I have a gentle heart and a whole lot of love growing inside me.

I can be a bit shy at first, but I’m learning that love comes easy when you’re patient and kind. Once I start to feel safe, I slowly warm up and show my sweet, quiet affection. I’m the kind of cat who blossoms with time and will form a special bond with the person who gives me that chance.

I’d do best in a calm home where I can move at my own pace and feel secure. If you’re looking for a soft, loving companion and don’t mind waiting a little while to earn my trust, I promise I’ll be worth it.

Maybe you’re the one who shows me just how good forever can feel. Adopt me today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
