Meet Our Dapper Little Edwin!
This 1-year-old Dachshund mix came from a hoarding situation and is learning that life can be safe and happy in rescue. Edwin came in a bit shy but making amazing progress every day and is now coming out of his shell and LOVES meeting his foster family at the door to greet with wiggles and wants all the attention! This precious little 17 pound guy gets along great with dogs of all sizes and would thrive with a confident dog friend to teach him how to be a dog and play his favorite game of tug. He has lived with cats and seems to ignore them.
Edwin loves twizzle bones, soft squeaky toys, and absolutely loves snuggling on the couch right next to his human. A belly rub is always a way to the little guys heart, as well. He also enjoys sitting in a comfy chair and watching the world go by through the window. This sweet baby wants to please his people and is currently hard at work on potty training and crate training. He has not lived with children but would probably be fine with older children and teens that don't startle him.

*ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training and all are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives.

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
