Hi! My name is Peanut, but everyone calls me Millie. I’ve been living with my foster family for a little over a month, and life has been pretty sweet. I’m about seven years old, but don’t let that fool you—I’ve still got plenty of playful energy, just the perfect amount without being overwhelming.
I’m a friendly girl who loves meeting new people. Women, men, kids of all ages—I’m excited, gentle, and ready for attention from everyone. I get along wonderfully with the big dogs in my foster home, especially our indoor dog and the Great Pyrenees. I haven’t met any small dogs yet, but so far I’ve shown nothing but kindness and curiosity with the friends I do have.
Walks are one of my favorite things! I’m great on a leash, love exploring the outdoors, and enjoy hanging out in the yard. I’m also a champion snuggler. My favorite place to sleep is curled up on the couch, and I’ll happily spend the whole night there snoozing away. When my family gets home, I greet them with the happiest tail wags—you can tell how much I love them.
I’m still working on my housetraining, and I admit I like to `liberate` the stuffing from toys (and sometimes fun plastic things if they’re left within reach). Luckily, chew bones keep me satisfied and out of trouble.
Even though it seems like I didn’t get a lot of love earlier in life, my heart is still soft, open, and ready to bond with someone special. I’d be perfect for a family with kids who love giving hugs or for someone looking for a loyal, affectionate companion. I have so much love to give—and I can’t wait to share it with my forever family.
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.
Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays
