Beignet is a 1-year-old mixed breed and a petite little gal who’s still recovering some weight after nursing nine puppies. She’s a sweet, easygoing dog with a calm, low-key temperament. She enjoys attention from people but never demands it, and she has lovely manners — she doesn’t jump on people, or really jump much at all.

She’s also polite and gentle with other dogs, making her an easy companion in most environments. Beignet has a soft, steady presence and is the kind of dog who fits smoothly into the rhythm of a home without ever being overwhelming.

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
