This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.
Keagan is the kind of dog who lights up every room he enters, greeting the world with a sweet smile and a heart full of enthusiasm. At 1.5 years old and about 40 pounds, this Black Mouth Cur mix is friendly, playful, and always ready to make a new friend. His soft golden coat matches his warm personality, and his foster describes him as sweet and soft like a toasted marshmallow. Keagan is smart, eager to learn, and already knows Sit with just a hand gesture. He’ll also offer a Shake or lay Down when treats are involved. He’s fully housetrained, walks nicely on a leash for his potty breaks, and is so comfortable with crate time that he takes all his meals inside it. His love for toys spans everything from antlers to hooves to happily shredding a plush toy, and he’s always up for a car ride with his head hanging out the back window, soaking up the breeze. Keagan is social and good with dogs, kids, and new people, though he may bark when someone unfamiliar unexpectedly enters the home. He’s playful with cats, sometimes a bit too enthusiastic, so a confident cat would be the best match. With his higher energy level, he’ll thrive with daily exercise or a fenced yard where he can run and play. This friendly, affectionate boy is ready for a family who can give him time, love, and plenty of activity. Keagan will return every bit of it with loyalty, fun, and the sweetest companionship you could hope for.
Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Dec 6th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
