Sharpool entered South LA-Chesterfield Shelter as a stray, and sadly, he wasn't claimed. On November 24th, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face. Sharpool is estimated to be 8 years old and weighs 9 lbs.
After spending time with this little cutie, one of our volunteers said his name should be Loverboy instead of Sharpool! Even though he’s shy and still adjusting to his new surroundings, he absolutely melts when he’s held and snuggled. Our volunteer carried him close during a 3-mile walk, and he relaxed in her arms.
Sharpool is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so he can decompress in the comfort of a calm home environment. His Fling Mom reports:
"Sharpool is starting to relax a little and enjoys observing life from one of the dog beds around the house. A few early observations:
* Sharpool loves to eat and gets excited about treats!
* He gets along well with our dogs. He watches them to see how they react to things before he makes up his mind.
* He is very quiet and almost never barks during the day even when other dogs in the neighborhood are barking or an Amazon delivery arrives at the door.
* He prefers to be inside the house rather than the backyard and likes to lounge in a comfy dog bed.
* He likes to play with toys.
* He has no problem climbing stairs but never jumps on the furniture.
* He sleeps through the night without an accident.
* He is not yet leash-trained but enjoys relaxing in the house and the yard.
* Even when he is anxious about something, he is never aggressive.
Sharpool seems very smart and learned our routine quickly."
