My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harper!
Sweet, gentle, and endlessly loving—Harper is a precious girl who’s trying her best to understand the big changes in her life. Recently surrendered by her previous owner, she’s a little confused about why she’s suddenly in a shelter, but she’s handling it with such bravery and grace.

Harper gets along beautifully with other dogs and would love a calm, friendly companion to help her feel secure. Once she warms up, her soft personality shines, and you’ll see just how affectionate and loyal she is.

She also adores her toys—whether she’s squeaking, chewing, or simply carrying them around for comfort, toys make her tail wag and her gentle spirit glow.

Harper is ready for a patient, loving family who will remind her that she’s safe, cherished, and home for good this time. If you’re looking for a tenderhearted companion with so much love to give, Harper is waiting to meet you

Additional adoption info

We require an in-person application for all dogs and cats. A home visit will be required for larger dogs, who require a fenced in yard. Our animals are only adopted out after they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption fees are $90 for cats and $110+ for dogs. Puppies are $130. Cash, check, credit or debit card are all accepted. Sometimes the fee will be higher for a dog, if it is a purebred. We would like to keep our adoptions local; in the event the adoption does not work out, the animal must come back to us. Adopters must sign an agreement to this effect. We do consider out of state adopters, please phone us before coming. We are a private rescue. Please be patient if we take a little time to respond.

Those adopting a cat must bring a carrier to transport the cat home safely.

More about this shelter

We are a 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to rescue homeless as well as owner released cats and dogs, whose owners can no longer care for them due to difficult circumstances.
