Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tiggs – A Gentle Soul with a Survivor’s Heart
Tiggs has been through more in his young life than most could imagine. He came into foster care very sick, and was rescued from a tough situation, and shortly after arriving, he nearly lost his life — twice. But Tiggs is a fighter, and with love, care, and a whole lot of determination, he pulled through.
Understandably, Tiggs can be shy at first. His early experiences — including lots of medications and handling while sick — left him wary, especially around his head and face. But once you earn his trust (and it is something you earn), Tiggs blossoms into the sweetest little companion.
He thrives in a calm, peaceful environment with a steady routine. Loud noises and chaos aren’t his thing — and he would prefer a home without young children, as he needs gentle, patient affection and understanding. He doesn't mind sharing his home with friendly dogs either, but he does best around calmer canines.
Tiggs is great with other cats and may do especially well with a calm, friendly kitty companion to share his peaceful space.
Once he feels safe, Tiggs’s playful and loving personality shines through. He loves chasing laser toys and feather wands with kitten-like joy, rolling blissfully in catnip, lounging on the catio (a screened-in porch), enjoying brushing sessions like a spa day, and soaking up all the gentle lovins he can get.
Tiggs is making remarkable progress now that he is finally healthy and he is steadily overcoming his fears and coming out of his shell. And he is turning out to be an incredibly sweet, loving and affectionate kitty boy.
Tiggs is looking for someone who sees the beauty in going slow, offering safety, and letting love unfold in its own time. If you’re someone who values deep bonds, quiet companionship, and the joy of helping a once-wounded soul fully bloom — Tiggs is ready to meet you.
