History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A Note from the Foster: Valka – Sweet, Shy, and Ready to Bloom 🌸**
Valka is a gentle soul who’s learning to trust and thrive. She came to us through the “Out of the Cold” , and with a little love and patience, she’s blossoming into a loyal companion.
🏡 House Manners:
Valka is doing wonderfully with potty training—no accidents since arriving in her foster home!
🐾 Personality:
She’s a little timid at first, but once she warms up, she adores snuggles and gentle pets. Toys aren’t her thing just yet, but treats? Absolutely.
🛏️ Kennel Training:
Valka is kennel trained and settles in well. She’ll go in without fuss and, while she may whine briefly, she usually quiets down within minutes.
🍽️ Special Notes:
Valka has shown some resource guarding around food, so she’ll benefit from continued training and a calm, structured environment.
🐶 Best Home Fit:
Valka enjoys her personal space and would likely do best as the only dog in the home, or with slow, respectful introductions to dog-savvy companions. She’s a girl who values boundaries. She hasn't shown much interest in the cats in her foster home.
💖 Ideal Family:
A patient, loving home that understands shy dogs and is willing to go at her pace. She’s a quiet gem waiting to shine.
