My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The queen of ice is here and ready to let herself go into a home! Meet Elsa, a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix transferred to us from Kings County. Fresh off the van, Elsa is still building her confidence here in the city. The hustle and bustle is not what this Arendellian queen was expecting, but she`s taking it all in stride, one walk at a time.

Similar to her namesake, Elsa appears to keep to herself at first but once she feels comfortable (which is quite quickly!), she blossoms into a loving and caring companion who just melts at every cuddle. Are you worried about bringing home a new dog for the holidays? Well, Elsa says, `Let it go and take me home!`

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
