My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella is a 2-year old Pitbull Terrier, recently transferred to us from our friends at SF Animal Care and Control. She is a bundle of energy -- she never wants to stay still! She`s eager to explore the world around her, and say hi to any new person she comes across. Stella loves soft squeaky toys and never tires of rope toys (`Play tug of war with me pleeeease, all day long, okay?`). She is treat-motivated and ready to learn new skills, having already mastered sit and looking at you to check-in. Stella would thrive in an active home where she can keep building her know-how and get plenty of playtime, exercise, and love.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
