My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fortune Cookie!
Fortune Cookie is ready to tell your future, and it just might include her by your side. Fortune Cookie is bonded with her best friend, Snoopy, they have a close relationship and would benefit from going home together. Cookie is very sweet and gentle, she is rather shy with new people. The good news is that there’s an easy way to break down Cookie’s walls and earn her trust - treats, and lots of them. Give her a little time and a tasty snack and she’ll be your little shadow and best friend. Since she did come from a home with limited exposure to the outside world, Fortune Cookie is not house trained and has no experience being on leash. She would do best in a home that either has a secure yard or is comfortable using pee pads until a time where she is comfortable going for walks.

Cookie and Snoopy are in our special adoption program, if you are interested in them please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email cshamgochian@parl.org to set up a meet and greet

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to submit an adopter profile through our website. We then encourage you to visit PARL at 34 Elbow Street and get to know the animals we have available. You do not need an appointment, and we invite you to visit us often. PARL’s goal is to assist you in finding your best match for a lifelong companion.

When you arrive, you’ll sign PARL’s visitor log, and staff will direct you to PARL’s cat rooms, small animal spaces, or dog kennels (depending on your preference.) We encourage you to spend time outside with the dogs, or petting our cats and small animals. Please ask questions -- that's why we're here.

If you don't find what you are looking for the first time, please come see us again! Chances are that we will have some new furry friends available for adoption, and one of them might be purr-fect for you!
