Archie Gold is a 5-year-old hound mix with a heart as golden as his name. Weighing in at 52 pounds, Archie is the ideal size for snuggles on the couch and strolls through the neighborhood.
Archie came to us as a stray, underweight, and suffering from severe hair loss and skin issues, but with care and love, he has blossomed into the handsome, healthy boy he is today.
This sweet boy is the definition of gentle. He moves through life with quiet grace, always ready to offer a soft nuzzle or rest his head in your lap. But don’t let his calm demeanor fool you—Archie has delightful bursts of playfulness that will make you smile! Archie is good with other polite dogs, making him a great fit for a calm, dog-friendly home.

For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership.
