About Wilbur’s Breed:
Our best guess is that Wilbur is a Ibizan Hound mix. An Ibizan Hound mix is typically a graceful, athletic, and affectionate companion. Known for their striking appearance with tall, lean frames and large upright ears, Ibizan Hounds were originally bred in Spain to hunt rabbits and are celebrated for their speed, agility, and playful nature. This breed is often gentle, even-tempered and has an inquisitive spirit. They tend to be social, loyal, and enjoy both active play and relaxed companionship, making them wonderful family pets for those who can provide exercise, love, and inclusion in daily life.

Wilbur is the perfect balance of playful and gentle. He’s crate trained, making great progress with potty training, and can be trusted outside of his crate. This social butterfly loves absolutely everyone he meets—kids, adults, and especially other dogs. He has several foster doggie siblings and adores running around the yard with them. While he hasn’t met cats yet, his easygoing nature suggests he’d adjust well.

Wilbur’s Wonderful Highlights:

  • Potty training progress, crate trained, non-destructive when left alone
  • Dog- and kid-loving, playful but gentle with all
  • Medium energy, fun-loving without the wild puppy chaos
  • Learning leash skills, picking them up quickly
  • Active explorer, needs a fenced yard for safe playtime
  • Affectionate & inquisitive, loves both adventure and cuddles
  • Goofy personality, endears himself instantly to everyone he meets

Wilbur is a wonderful family pup who thrives on companionship, play, and love. Whether he’s running with doggie friends, exploring the world, or curling up in your lap, Wilbur is ready to bring joy, laughter, and loyalty to his forever home.
