My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocket is smart and curious. Whether he is finding new ways of navigating his environment or hoarding random items under the chair, he is always focused and attentive to what the world has to offer. He will greet you in the morning, and when you come home for work. If you talk to him, you may be lucky enough to receive a “mew” in return. While not a lap-cat yet, he will follow you and pay close attention to what you are doing.

Rocket loves to play and has a lot of good energy. He is gentle when playing, although he is still a kitten and has a lot of kitten energy. He is very well-behaved. He loves his cardboard bed for both sleeping and scratching. He also gets along very well with full-grown cats. Anyone would be lucky to make this guy part of their family!

Our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.

All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7.

Young kittens must go home in pairs, or to a home with another cat. Infrequently we will make exceptions.

If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website and fill out an application: https://toniskittyrescue.org/adoption-application/

We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens!

More about this rescue

Toni, our founder, started fostering underage kittens that came into the local municipal shelter in 2000. By 2003 she had a network of foster parents and was saving many little lives so she became a non-profit. As of 2023 we are no longer with the shelter and are on our own. We have only one part-time employee and a dedicated group of fosters. All our kittens are vaccinated and spayed/neutered and receive all necessary medical care while in our care. We taken in strays from our partner trappers and from high-kill and over-crowded shelters, specializing in neo-nates and kittens under 6 weeks.
