My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Captain Jack! 🐾⚓️

Say hello to Captain Jack, an 8-year-old Maltese. Captain is a 26-pound bundle of love with a soft, white coat and a heart full of sunshine! This handsome little gentleman is as charming as he is cuddly — the kind of dog who turns heads wherever he goes and wins hearts with just one wag of his tail.

Captain Jack is a well-mannered, dog friendly companion who’s both housetrained and excellent on a leash. Whether he’s trotting beside you on a quiet morning walk or exploring a new trail, he’s always ready for an adventure. He loves being outdoors — the rustle of leaves, the warmth of the sun, and the chance to sniff out all the interesting scents Mother Nature has to offer.

When he’s not out exploring, Captain Jack is a world-class snuggler. His soft, fluffy white coat makes him irresistible to cuddle, and he’ll happily curl up beside you for a nap or a relaxing evening at home. He has a calm, gentle nature that makes him an easygoing housemate — respectful of routines and always eager to please.

Captain Jack absolutely adores people and gets along wonderfully with kids. He’s affectionate, patient, and thrives on human connection. His bright, soulful eyes seem to say, “I’m just happy to be here with you.” Whether he’s greeting new friends or spending time with family, he brings warmth and joy wherever he goes.

At 8 years old, Captain Jack has that perfect mix of maturity and spirit — no puppy chaos, just steady love, loyalty, and a zest for life. He’s ready to find his forever family, one that will give him the love and companionship he so deserves.

If you’re searching for a loyal, loving, and gentle friend who’s always up for a walk, a cuddle, or a new adventure, look no further — Captain Jack is ready to set sail into your heart! ❤️🐶

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
