My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Ban'ei. I'm a sweet medium haired tortoiseshell lady, born approximately 4/22/2018. My striking green eyes are always watching quietly from the sidelines, and I like to take my time before stepping into the spotlight. When we first meet, you might find me tucked away in a cozy corner, but with a little patience, some gentle pets, and a bit of tasty wet food, I'll gladly come out to say hello. Before coming to Wild Blue Cats, I lived in a small apartment with many other cats, so I'm very used to feline company and often find comfort in having quiet kitty friends around. Human attention, though, is still something I'm learning to trust. But every day, I discover a little more joy in gentle touch, being brushed has especially helped me relax and feel cared for. Because of my early life without much human interaction, I'm still adjusting to the hustle and bustle of daily life. Sudden noises and fast movements can startle me, so I'm really hoping to find a peaceful, stable home where I can settle in at my own pace. A quiet space where I can bloom slowly, with someone who understands that trust takes time, that's my dream. I'd especially love to be adopted with my dear friend, Maleficent. She and I have become very close, we often snuggle and comfort one another, and I feel so much braver when she's nearby. We were adopted together once before, but unfortunately, we didn't adjust well to that environment and we both became very uneasy around men. Because of that, we're really hoping to find a home with a gentle, understanding woman who can give us the quiet companionship we're looking for. Someone who has experience with cats and a heart full of patience. I'm not sure how I'd feel around dogs, but calm, older teenagers/young adults might be okay if they're gentle and respectful of my space. My focus is truly just on feeling safe and continuing to learn that people can be kind and comforting. If you have a quiet heart, a peaceful home, and room in your life for two timid girls who are still learning what love feels like, we might just be the perfect match. Please visit www.wbcats.org/adopt to fill out an application. We can't wait to meet the woman who'll help us feel truly at home.December 3, 2025, 7:54 pm
