My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Milano is a beautiful mama dog whose job is done now that all of her puppies have found their forever homes—and it’s finally her turn to be spoiled. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate, with a playful side that really shines when she’s romping around with other dogs or showing off her adorable zoomies. Milano is dog-friendly, loves to play, and is already doggy door trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. After spending her time caring for her babies, Milano is ready to settle into a loving family where she can relax, play, and be cherished just for being her wonderful self. 🐾

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
