My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Coco, a tender, velvety-soft girl who blends gentle sweetness with a fun-loving streak. She may seem a little shy at first, hanging back to watch, but her curiosity quickly takes over and within no time, she's leaning into your hand with happy purrs.

Coco is slightly more mellow than her sister Roxy, but she’s just as enchanted by toys. The wand toy is her favorite, and she can’t resist darting after it. When playtime winds down, she’s ready to curl up near you, content to be your quiet shadow while you relax or get things done.

She's perfect with the litter box and is so gentle. With time, patience and love, she would open up and be your dream kitty.

Her bond with her sister Roxy KRLA-A-86312 is the sweetest. They play together, nap nose-to-nose, and seek each other out all day long. Coco's gentle, sweet energy balances Roxy's playful spark beautifully.

Perfect match: Coco would be happiest adopted to a home with her sister Roxy so they can keep entertaining each other (and you!) with synchronized zoomies and snuggles. Two cats are so much easier than one; they keep each other company when you are out of the house, so you don't have to worry about lonely kitten syndrome! And who doesn't love double the snuggles?

Coco can't wait to meet you! Please contact her foster at msbridgettemoses1@gmail.com for videos and to arrange a meet-and-greet.

Additional adoption info

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.

To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitten Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. First, we ask that you complete our Adoption Questionnaire at kittenrescue.org/cat-adoption-form/. You can complete the form online or you may stop by a weekly adoption event to complete form in person. Second, a home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

The Kitten Rescue adoption fee is $150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, and $100 for each additional kitten or cat to the same household ($250 if you adopt a pair). Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.

All of our cats have already been:
Spayed or neutered
Vaccinated – with at least one FVRCP vaccination
Treated for fleas
Dewormed
Tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus)
Microchipped

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
