My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Teddy! Your Pocket-Sized Best Friend

Teddy is a 1-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a big personality packed into a 10 lb body. Affectionate, playful, and endlessly charming, this little guy has one mission in life: to make friends with everyone he meets. He bonds quickly and loves being close to his people, whether that’s snuggling on the couch or following you around to see what you’re doing.

Teddy has tons of puppy energy and enthusiasm, and he’ll thrive with someone ready to give him daily enrichment, playtime, and lots of attention. He loves fetch, soft toys, and zooming around with happy wiggles. When he’s done, he’s all cuddles and belly rubs… hence his nickname, Teddy Bean.

He’s still young and learning, so his ideal home will be patient and ready to guide him with gentle training. He’s mostly potty trained, very food motivated, and eager to please. Crate training and leash walking are both works in progress, but Teddy is smart and capable, he just needs consistency and encouragement.

If you’re looking for a cheerful, affectionate, easy-to-love companion who will greet every new person like a long-lost friend, Teddy might be your perfect match.

Teddy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and currently on monthly parasite prevention.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
