Hi... I'm Concha. I might not be the first one to run up and say hello-I'm a little timid at first-but if you give me a bit of time and space, I'll show you just how sweet I can be. I love quiet corners, soft blankets, and people who speak in calm voices. When I start to feel safe, I'll come closer on my own, and that's when you'll see my true self: a warm, loving cat who enjoys slow blinks, gentle pets, and curling up near someone I trust. I may take a moment to open up, but once I do, I'll stay by your side with all the quiet affection a little cat heart can give. Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Weight: 8.7 Age: 1yrs 4mths 1wks

More about this shelter
Founded in 1955, Woods Humane Society is a nonprofit organization which receives no tax funds, but is supported by donations, grants, bequests, fundraising events and fees for services. Woods is independent of San Luis Obispo County Animal Services, but works in close cooperation with them and other animal groups in the county for the welfare of all animals.
Woods now cares for over 3,000 cats and dogs each year at our facilities in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero until they can be united with loving forever families. We bring in animals from other shelters where they are less likely to be adopted and from individuals who are no longer able to care for their pets. Woods is committed to finding loving homes for all healthy and treatable pets, no matter how long it takes. With our behavior and veterinary resources, we are able to go the extra mile for animals in need.
