Dixie isn’t just cute — she’s clever, calm, and full of charm. Her signature head tilt? Total heart-melter. She’s a great listener, knows her manners, and even heads to her crate like a pro when asked.
Dixie is happy whether she’s walking with you through the neighborhood or soaking up the sun on the deck. She’s the perfect passenger for a peaceful car ride — just watching the world go by. Whether she’s chasing tennis balls or squirrels (that hound nose is no joke!), Dixie’s just as content to curl up next to you for some quiet time.
Dixie tends to bond quickly with women, but she warms up to men too — especially when they offer a little affection. She prefers calmer, older kids, and would do best in a home with children over 10. When it comes to dog friends, she’s usually more comfortable around the boys than the girls. Dixie’s not the pushy type — she’s respectful of your space, polite at mealtimes, and lets you know when company is at the door (then sweet-talks them into giving belly rubs after a few treats!).
