Meet Cocoa!
Cocoa is a delightful blend of puppy-like joy and mature good manners. She greets her favorite people with bright enthusiasm and a happily wagging tail, always ready to make you feel welcomed and loved. Playful and social, Cocoa enjoys romping with other dogs, but she’s just as capable of entertaining herself when her friends need a break. When the adventures are over, she’s perfectly content curling up beside you on the couch for some quiet companionship. She can be a bit startled by unexpected noises and may respond with a few barks, and she tends to be cautious around new people. With a little patience and reassurance, she learns to settle and feel safe, though she may need gentle redirection from time to time. Cocoa would make a wonderful addition to the right family. Her sweet spirit, playful energy, and curious nature are sure to bring warmth, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails into your home.

Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
