My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Meet Nubi: The Left-Turning Legend! 💃
Looking for a dog with a "signature move"? Nubi is your girl! This smart cookie knows a bunch of commands and is a master of the spin-as long as we're going counter-clockwise. She's a "lefties only" dancer who's still figuring out the right side, but she makes up for it with 10/10 enthusiasm!
When she's not showing off her moves for a treat (she's very food motivated!), you can find her winning a game of tug or burrowing into your lap. Nubi is a world-class snuggle bug who would fit perfectly into just about any home.

My foster writes: Nubi (or Nubby as I call her) is a sweet gem of a dog. She is quick to trust her person and full of love and kisses for them. She is fully potty trained and is well behaved in the apartment. She has a favorite blanket and a favorite spot on the couch that I have had to fully surrender to her. Nubby loves to play with her stuffies, she loves to shake them into submission, and enjoys our training sessions, showing that she is quick to learn. Nubby is working on her leash skills and she needs someone who is willing to go slowly with her and help her to build her confidence in new situations and when outside.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

A Volunteer Wrote: We love, love, love this dog with all of our hearts. So many of us have praised her sweetness (she offers kisses even through the bars of her pop up crate), her adoration of scratches when she leans into you, and her gratitude at being given treats. Her former owner reports she's lived with kids, is fine with other dogs, and loves to play. We hate that she's not getting a chance to do that in an overcrowded shelter when she should be playing tug of war (her favorite) or sleeping on a couch. This is a girl with so much love to offer, and it's a privilege to do for such a gentle soul. Please come meet her!
