It's more common than people realize- dogs surrendered to a shelter "because we had a baby". It's hard for me to understand this having watched family members and other adopters be able to keep their dog after having a baby (or two or three). But, we could only step up and say YES when the person who fostered this dog three years ago came to us to say she was brought back to the shelter for this very reason and would we take her in rescue.
Although Ramsey is a timid dog that takes time to warm up and trust after all she's been through, she is very good with dogs, cats and kids As sad as it is a timid dog stands little chance in a shelter environment. But, fortunately her previous foster, Dog Boarding at the Beach, reached out to the shelter to get her. Now she is back at daycare boarding and enjoying the playtime and special events offered to all their pups.
Fully vetted, spayed and on preventatives. She is around four years old and although timid she is very sensitive to her human person and does take direction. She is housebroken and crates well when needed. Shes great with other dogs and loves playing and interaction at day care

Our rescue focus is on adult dogs from the southeast that are in high kill shelters OR ABANDONED. Our plan is to fully vet, evaluate, and train as needed in preparation for adoption. When we save a life from the shelter, he is taken straight to the vet for a health checkup and while he is there The DOG will be neutered or spayed, receive shots and given a microchip. The rescues will then go to foster care in a home setting to prepare them for a home of their own. This helps to determine the best match for each rescue. Our goal is to make sure lives we save never end up homeless and scared again.
