My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Midge: Your Perfect Snuggle Buddy

Midge is a sweet, gentle soul who just wants to be the apple of your eye. She's the ideal companion—easygoing, affectionate, and perfectly balanced between playful and calm.

Midge is completely house-trained with zero accidents, Midge can be trusted loose in the house and settles quickly when alone. At night, she'll snuggle up against you in bed, sleeping adorably on her back in the nook of your arm.

Midge goes with the flow. Couch day? She's in. Want to play? She'll happily join. She enjoys a quiet wrestle with another dog or tearing apart her favorite toys, but she's not demanding. Think "active enough for whatever you want, but thrilled about lazy Sundays."

She's wonderful for handling—allows nail trims, ear cleaning, and baths without fuss. Walks beautifully on a leash with no pulling, and sleeps calmly in the car.

Friendly with strangers and other dogs, ignores cats, and would do great with kids and small animals. She lives with 10 cats and 4 dogs and loves them all!

The Bottom Line
Midge is independent enough to entertain herself but loves you enough to always want to be near. She sits in your lap, snuggles on demand, and just wants to love and be loved. If you're looking for a gentle, adaptable companion who'll make you feel like the center of her universe, Midge is your girl.

Midge is:
3 years old
Spayed, utd on vaccines, fecal tested, microchipped
Dog, cat and kid friendly
Housetrained
PERFECT

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
