Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Cricket — The Streetwise Sweetheart with a Heart of Gold 🐾
Cricket is about 4 years old, weighs in at around 50 pounds, and is all love. He’s a gentle, loyal, soulful shepherd mix who’s been through the kind of ordeal most dogs wouldn’t survive.
He was found wandering the streets of Mexico, dragging a leg so badly injured it was one of the worst we’ve ever seen—completely shredded. But against all odds, Cricket’s leg (and foot!) were saved. He sometimes babies it a little, but don’t let that fool you—he gets around just fine, and his spirit is stronger than ever.
And his personality? Absolute gold.
Cricket is:
💛 Incredibly gentle and eager to please
🚗 A total dream in the car
🧺 Crate trained (he may whimper a bit when left alone, but settles beautifully)
🐶🐱👧 Great with dogs, cats, and respectful kids
🛌 Down to snuggle in bed if you’ll let him—he won’t argue!
He sleeps through the night in his crate like a good boy, but after a life of uncertainty on the streets, he still has a bit of food insecurity. We recommend feeding him separately with a slow feeder so he doesn’t feel the need to compete.
Despite his past, Cricket has no aggression—just a deep well of love, trust, and that soft shepherd gaze that will melt you on the spot. He gives love so freely, but once you’re his person, his loyalty is unmatched.
Cricket fought to survive… now he deserves to thrive. His forever family is out there—could it be you?
