My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Captain Cookie Crumbles — the handsomest 50-pound Labrador mix you’ll ever meet, with a heart just as big as his puppy-dog eyes. This 2-year-old gent had a little rough patch adjusting to being left alone, so he’s looking for a home where someone can be his co-pilot in crime, or help him build confidence when alone.

Cookie Crumbles is a gentle soul who loves people, kids, and other dogs, and he’s housebroken and leash-trained — basically, a total catch. He’s calm, affectionate, and ready to snuggle, play, and be your forever sidekick.

If you’re looking for a loyal, soft-hearted companion who’s equal parts handsome, goofy, and sweet, Captain Cookie Crumbles is ready to sail right into your heart.

Additional adoption info

We encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone.

Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
