Additional info:
Poshie boy has clearly had a rough past, been pulled around and tugged about and has a fear of new people. He was surrendered to the shelter after biting a person trying to force him into a bathtub. After some time decompressing in a wonderful foster home, we would describe this guy as a sour patch kid. He can be sour at first but then....he’s sweet. Super sweet!! He definitely warms up to his people very fast, but it will take time to really gain his full trust. Every day with him brings more trust and more love and affection.
He is smart, he understands house rules and will listen when you call his name and tell him to stop something, but he doesn’t know basic commands like sit and lay. He is a quick learner. He is great in his crate and playpen. He doesn’t fuss being in for extended time if needed and he’s really not a huge barker. When he barks excessively is when he sees a stranger coming into your home.
He is such a sweetheart but has been wronged in life and because of that he has some real deep scars in his heart, but he is willing and wanting someone to show him unconditional love even through his naughty moments and at that point there will great breakthroughs that will show more of his sweet then sour side. He would do best in an adult only, low traffic household willing to give him the time he needs to shine.
