Zuca is a stunning 3-year-old, 50-lb tan-and-black shep mix with a gentle spirit and a heart that’s been through more than any should.
She was abandoned by her family when they suddenly moved to the mainland United States, leaving her behind in Puerto Rico on the streets and pregnant. We were able to bring her into rescue and give her the care she needed to raise her puppies and support her while we tried to find her own family!
In her foster home, Zuca has shown what an exceptional dog she truly is. She is incredibly obedient, house trained (does all her business in the yard), and both smart and deeply affectionate. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and gets along very well with other dogs. With proper introductions, she can also do well with cats.
This girl is a gem: loyal, loving, and ready for a family who will never give up on her again.
Zuca is hoping her forever home is just around the corner. She’s so deserving of that chance.
Zuca will arrive in Albion, NY on December 14 and we would love to have a family waiting for her!
Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. There is an application which is required for initial approval, with personal references, and vet references. We may require a home visit, each adoption is different. We are easy to work with, friendly and try to fit the right pet in the right situation!
