My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winter — a beautiful black puppy with a name as magical as the season she’s named after. ❄️✨

Winter may look sleek and cool, but don’t let her name fool you — she’s all warmth, wiggles, and soft puppy snuggles. She loves toys, exploring, and being close to her favorite people, and her playful spirit is sure to chase away even the coldest days.

With her shiny coat, bright curious eyes, and joyful energy, Winter is the kind of puppy that brings wonder and happiness wherever she goes — just like the first snowfall of the season. She’s still learning puppy manners, so she’ll need patience, treats, and lots of love as she grows.

If you're looking for a little magic in your life — the kind that sticks around long after the holidays — Winter just might be the perfect forever gift. 💙❄️

Apply online or stop by Tuesday–Saturday from 10–5 to meet her! 🐾

More about this shelter

The Appalachian Highlands Humane Society is a private non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. We do not receive public or government funding, and no monies from national humane organizations or county, state or federal government funds. Our work depends solely on grants, fundraisers, adoptions, private funding, memberships and donations. The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home. We value every animal equally and consider all to be priceless
Please visit our website, www.ahumanesociety.org for more information.
