My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna, a gentle 9-year-old Husky/Staffy mix who is brand new to the shelter and still finding her footing in this unfamiliar place. With her soft eyes and quiet spirit, it’s clear that Luna is a sweetheart — she’s just a little shy right now as she works on coming out of her shell. As we get to know her, one thing is already certain: Luna deserves a calm, loving home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and truly understood. She’s a senior girl who would much rather be curled up with someone she trusts than spending her days in a kennel. If you have space in your heart for a tender, reserved dog who’s hoping for a second chance, come meet Luna. Your kindness could help her blossom — and keep her shelter stay a short one. This lovely senior is ready for the warmth of a real home.

Go meet their pets

Thank you for your interest in adopting from West Valley City/Taylorsville Animal Services! We would love for you to come to the shelter and meet your new family member.

You can come to the shelter Monday through Friday between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and walk through to see the animals we have available for adoption.

Please keep in mind that adoptions are first come, first serve. We often have a few pets that would make a good match for each family, so if the animal you are interested in is no longer available, you can still come in and meet some animals to see if there's a good fit.

You can see all of our animals at www.wvcpets.com [wvcpets.com]
