Hello, I’m Ichabod—a rather distinguished gentleman with excellent manners and a deep appreciation for life’s simple comforts. My ideal day includes a cozy blanket or welcoming lap, plenty of head rubs and chin scritches, and timely access to treats (I do know exactly where the magic treat closet is).
I’m very people-oriented and enjoy being near my humans. I’ll gently wind around your legs, bump your hand to request pats, and curl up beside you for a nap. I have a very quiet little meow—more of a polite peep, really—and a soft, steady purr that lets you know I’m content. I’m also an expert biscuit maker, using just the right amount of pressure so nothing ever gets snagged.
When playtime strikes, I adore my crinkly fish toy. I bunny-kick it, fling it around, and often follow that up with a round of zoomies down the hallway. I also enjoy watching the world go by from a window or door when I’m not hard at work warming a lap or napping from a higher vantage point.
I get along well with other cats and am curious but respectful of their boundaries. I am wary of dogs, especially larger ones, but I can peacefully coexist with calm, respectful canine housemates who give me space. I’m gentle, patient, and sweet, and I’m told I make friends quite easily.
Right now, I do need antibiotic eye ointment a few times a day, but I’m very relaxed about it and don’t fuss at all. I’m fully litter box trained, have no behavior issues, and don’t struggle with being alone.
If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion with a quiet voice, a soft purr, and a truly gentle soul, I would be honored to meet you.
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.
Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays
