My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Hark, and I’m pretty sure I’m an old soul in a puppy’s body. I’m a calm, easygoing little guy who loves nothing more than being by your side. If you’re folding laundry, I’m supervising. If you’re moving room to room, I’m right there with you, making sure you never have to do anything alone.

I’m a big fan of snuggles, couch naps, and following my humans around the yard. I love to play chase, but I’m polite about it—I don’t jump on people, even when I’m excited. I’ve spent time around little kids and I’m very gentle with them (even when they forget to be gentle with me!).

I’m still working on potty training and crate training, but I’m learning fast and doing great with a routine. I’m also taking a couple of short-term medications to help me feel my best while I grow. I get along with dogs of all sizes and would be happy to have furry friends in my new home, too.

My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?

If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays

More about this shelter

Pawmetto Lifeline, formerly Project Pet, was founded in 1999. Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
