My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Holly, and I might just be the snuggliest little Yorkie you’ll ever meet. My favorite thing in the entire world is being as close to you as possible—on your lap, on your chest, even on your head if that’s the closest spot. I’m a quiet, mellow girl who doesn’t bark and just wants to be held and loved all day long.

I get along well with other dogs and feel much better when a friend is nearby. Being alone is a little scary for me right now, so having company—whether it’s a human or another dog—helps me feel safe. I’m still learning about leashes and crates, and I’ll need a patient family who can help me build confidence. I’m also quite the climber, so I can get over a low pen if I really try.

I love being outside as long as I’m in your arms, and I’m happiest when I’m snuggled close, feeling warm and loved. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate little companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, I think we’d be a perfect match.

My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?

If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays

More about this shelter

Pawmetto Lifeline, formerly Project Pet, was founded in 1999. Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
