My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Hemi — A Happy, Energetic Boy Ready to Learn! 🐾

Hemi is a 1-year-old neutered Pit Bull mix who came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. This young guy has a lot of personality and a big heart — he just needs a little patience at first.

Staff have observed that Hemi can display kennel reactivity when people approach or attempt to leash him inside his kennel. Because of this, we recommend a “start low, go slow” approach, giving him time to feel comfortable and warm up. Once outside his kennel, Hemi is a completely different dog — very friendly, loose-bodied, and happily greets new people. He allows full handling from everyone and truly enjoys human interaction.

Hemi knows how to sit and is eager to engage. He becomes very excited when meeting other dogs, so continued positive introductions and training will help him succeed. With consistency, patience, and understanding, Hemi has so much potential to thrive.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate young dog who just needs someone willing to give him a chance and help build his confidence, Hemi could be your perfect match! 🐶💙
