My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Jager

Animal ID: 424252

Gender: Gelding

Age: 11 years old

Breed: Quarter Horse

Height: 14.2hh

Adoption Fee: $300

Location: Hempstead

Adopter experience needed: Intermediate

Training level: Halter broke

Current assessment and personality: Jager thrives on attention, enjoys grooming sessions, and is happiest spending time with people and pasture mates. He gets along wonderfully with other horses and would make an excellent pasture companion, emotional-support buddy for a nervous horse, or a calm, grounding friend for anyone who simply loves being around horses. He can at times act spooky or uncertain however overcomes those fears with a patient handler.

Potential: Companion/ Pasture pet only. Cannot be ridden

Health/lameness: Old chip in LH fetlock that will cause pain if ridden. He is pasture sound. If his adopter wants him to be a riding horse, Jager will need surgery and/or joint injections to maintain comfort.

Loads and Trailers: Yes unless there is a horse in before him that is pawing or shaking the trailer.

Leads: Yes

Catch in pasture: Yes

Stands for farrier: Yes

Ties: Yes

Bathes: Yes

**Horses can be seen by appointment only following review and approval of an equine and farm animal adoption application.
