My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Abra!

I may be small, but I’m definitely mighty! I’m very outgoing, playful, and affectionate, and I love just about everyone I meet. I’m brave, confident, and always ready for my next adventure—or a fun game.

I’ve been living with other cats, a large dog, and even a toddler, and I do great with all of them. I’m gentle, patient, and social, which makes me a wonderful choice for a family with children. As long as a dog is cat-friendly, I’m happy to make a new canine friend too!

I love to play and explore, but when I finally slow down, my favorite place to be is curled up in your lap, cuddling until I fall asleep. I’m fully litter box trained, have no special needs, and don’t scare easily—life is just too exciting for that!

If you’re looking for a confident, loving kitten who will keep you smiling and then snuggle right up when playtime is over, I’d love to be part of your family.

My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?

If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays

More about this shelter

Pawmetto Lifeline, formerly Project Pet, was founded in 1999. Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
