Meet Ollie! Ollie is a special, resilient double merle pup who happens to be deaf and partially blind. Despite his challenges, he is full of heart and is looking for an experienced, patient home where he can truly shine. Ollie would thrive with another confident, friendly dog in the home to help show him the ropes and guide him as he learns his way around.
Because Ollie can’t hear and has limited vision, he needs a little extra time to warm up to new people and new environments — but once he trusts you, he’s incredibly loving. He has adored all of our staff members and has shown us just how sweet and eager to bond he really is.
Ollie was surrendered to us due to reported biting, but after a full behavioral assessment here at the shelter, we have not seen those behaviors. We believe Ollie may simply need a quieter, more predictable home where he can feel safe and understood.
