Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Butterbean! He was adopted from MCAS earlier this year but was recently surrendered due to no fault of his own. This handsome loaf is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccinations, so he’s all set for his next chapter. A true gentle soul, Butterbean gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and children. He’s the kind of dog who brings calm, comforting energy wherever he goes. While he enjoys a nice stroll, he’s definitely not a high-energy pup. His favorite hobbies are lounging, cuddling, and being your cozy companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow friend who will happily curl up beside you and soak up all the love you have to give, Butterbean is your guy. Come meet him at the Miami County Animal Shelter.

More about this shelter
The Miami County Animal Shelter is dedicated to protecting the health and safety of the public by enforcing the Ohio Revised Code, reuniting lost pets, and rehoming adoptable homeless animals with humane care and responsible adoption.
Serving Miami County Ohio as a no kill animal shelter since 2019.
What does no kill mean?
A 90 percent save rate is the nationally recognized benchmark to be considered “no-kill,” factoring that approximately 10 percent of pets who enter shelters have medical or behavioral circumstances that warrant humane euthanasia rather than killing for lack of space.
